Comment overheard – When I was in high school, band and chorus met every other day and they were fine. No, they were not fine. I think I know which school the comment refers to and they have had at least eight band directors in the past twenty years (it may have been more, I lost count at some point). They’ve had at least that many chorus directors as well. They have minimal (if any) jazz and marching programs and their concert band has not fared well at Large Group (when it has participated). That kind of program is like offering a football program but not scheduling any games. Doesn’t make much sense.
As usual, I am almost speechless and I got nuthin’.
